This weight plate doubles as a hand weight and is perfect for chest and shoulder strengthening, or to intensify your lower body training. The ergonomic handles help improve technique and allow you to comfortably grip multiple plates in one hand – so you can progressively get those gains! It beats a cumbersome dumbbell hands down.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS 

  • Do not drop, throw or drag the SMARTBAR equipment.

  • When using with SMARTBAR, weight plates should always be loaded and unloaded in the horizontal position. Do not place the SMARTBAR on its end vertically to load or unload weights.
  • When using with SMARTBAR, do not exceed the maximum weight loading of 45kg (22.5kg each side). Three (3) weight plates can clip in at once on each end, largest plates on the inside closest to the gator.
  • We do not recommend using SMARTBAR equipment on abrasive surfaces like rough concrete or wearing jewellery while you workout. Both can damage the product surface.

STORAGE INSTRUCTIONS

  • Remove weight plates from the SMARTBAR for storage. Store SMARTBAR horizontally or on its end vertically.

CLEAN INSTRUCTIONS 

  • Clean SMARTBAR equipment using water and a mild detergent with a soft (lint-free) cloth. Do not spray cleaning solution directly into the SMARTBAR gator heads.

What is the difference between SMARTBAR Gen 2 and Gen 1

  • a squarer plate shape provides additional grip space, whilst textured ‘grip’ zones deliver even more control. Translation: lift heavier, for longer.
  • a re-designed ‘handle insert’ engages seamlessly with the gator for extra plate security (and reduced wear on use).
  • new 3.7kg & 7.5Kg plates provide progress weight increments – to help you step up your training.

Do Gen 2 weights work with the Gen 1 bar?

Yes, Gen 1 and Gen 2 are compatible with one another. So if you want to keep your Gen 1 bar but upgrade to the Gen 2 weights, you can.
